Maybe the most popular hike in Europe
The Tour du Mont Blanc is perhaps the most famous and popular hike in the Alps. Its popularity is largely due to the fact that it circles Europe's highest peak, which is visible almost every day (weather permitting), and the scenery is absolutely stunning.
During the hike, you'll visit three different countries (France, Italy, and Switzerland), staying alternately in charming villages in good hotels and in cozy mountain huts up in the mountains.
Due to the hike's great popularity, we avoid doing it in July or August and instead go in early September. At this time, there are fewer tourists, and September is the best month for hiking in the Alps: temperatures are comfortable, it's not too hot, and the weather is often sunny. Statistics also show that September is the driest month of the year in the Alps.
A support vehicle will be present throughout the hike, transporting luggage to the next accommodation. On some nights, when staying in mountain huts that are inaccessible by car, you will need to carry a bit more gear in your backpack. However, generally, you can hike with just a light daypack. The support vehicle follows the hikers (or goes ahead) as close as possible at all times. If anyone can't manage a full day of hiking, they can usually hop in the car on most days.
