Spain as a Ski Destination

Spain is not the first country that comes to mind when talking about skiing, but it is surprisingly versatile and offers excellent opportunities for skiing and snow sports. Spain is well-known for its warm climate and sandy beaches, but the mountainous regions provide fantastic settings for winter sports.

Spain also has a strong cultural and gastronomic tradition, making a visit a comprehensive and delicious experience.

Spain is an excellent option, especially for families looking for a diverse ski trip and wanting to experience something a bit different.

Lumiversumi / Powder Universe in Spain

Spain has many good ski areas, such as Formigal, La Molina, and perhaps the most well-known to Finns, Sierra Nevada. However, for the Lumiversum trip, we have chosen the Baqueira-Beret ski resort in the Pyrenees, Catalonia, as the destination. It is Spain's largest and most famous ski resort, also considered the best in the country. Baqueira-Beret has extensive slopes and offers a variety of opportunities for skiers of different levels. The resort also allows for easy day trips to nearby mountains for ski touring.
