Lyngen is without a doubt one of the most stunning mountain ranges in the world—especially from a ski tourer’s perspective. Long, beautiful descents (with vertical drops of 1,000–1,500 meters) unfold in every direction, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. And in our opinion, the best and most enjoyable way to explore this terrain is by sailboat.
The wilderness around Kilpisjärvi, on the other hand, offers truly remarkable skiing—especially by Finnish standards. The village and its surroundings are worth experiencing in their own right. In this region, the most efficient way to access the best skiing terrain is by snowmobile.
Lumiversum’s combo trip offers a unique opportunity to experience these two extraordinary and exciting—but completely different—skiing adventures.
During the first 3–4 days in Lyngen, the group will be guided by a Finnish UIAGM-certified mountain guide with extensive local knowledge of the area.
In Kilpisjärvi, snowmobile transportation is handled by a local professional who has lived in the region for decades, and ski guiding is provided by a Finnish ski guide.
