We will stay for 6 nights at Project X mountain lodge, approximately two kilometers above sea level. The program includes six guided days of skiing, primarily assisted by snowcats. We will experience powder skiing in the surrounding forests and higher alpine areas. Under normal snow conditions, we can ski several hundred vertical meters below the village level.

Our group size is a maximum of 10 skiers, with two local guides and, of course, a local snowcat driver.

At Project X, there are two separate groups at the same time, each with a maximum of 12 participants. One group consists of PowderUniverse clients, while the other comes from elsewhere. These two groups ski independently of each other.

There is no other settlement or other skiers near our accommodation at Project X mountain lodge. The surrounding mountains serve as the playground for our two groups, totaling about 20-25 skiers.

And best of all, the Black Sea is very close, contributing ample moisture that translates into even more abundant snowfall on these mountains than in Bakhmaro, located about twenty kilometers away.

Passport and visa

Finnish citizens do not need a visa for trips to Georgia. If you are citizen of some other country, please check the requirements for your country in the local Japanese embassy or consulate.

Difficulty level

You can ski in varying snow and terrain conditions, including (very) deep snow outside of groomed slopes.

Equipment

• We recommend bringing equipment that allows for ascents using your own muscle power (skins, snowshoes, or splitboards). Occasionally, we may need to ascend short distances if the snowcat cannot reach the starting point for some reason. However, bringing this equipment is not mandatory, and it can be rented on-site if necessary.
